We are proud to receive an award from DDA, Dubai Development Authority, for maintaining a safe workplace at our Dubai Creek Harbour project. The award was shared during a ceremonyon April 28th, at a celebration of World Day for Health and Safety at Work.
Out of 1100 permits issued by DDA during 2018, they shortlisted 100 projects to be audited, and 10 projects were selected for the awards – 1 of which was Dubai Creek Harbour Project.
On behalf of Trojan General Contracting, Ahmed Abbas and Jodel Jimmenz collected the award, which was presented by Mr. Masoud Alzarooni, Executive Director at Dubai Development Authority.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work has its roots back in 1919, when in the post-WWI era the International Labour Organization (ILO) was established by the Treaty of Versailles. The ILO was formulated with the mandate of improving conditions for workers across the globe, in particular the regulation of workers’ hours, conditions and salaries.
